Individual Therapy

As a therapist, I will work with you to achieve a better understanding of the difficulties you are experiencing, and to discover more adaptive coping mechanisms.  My style is nonjudgmental, empathetic, and compassionate.  I tailor the therapy to the individual needs of the client (play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, or insight-oriented treatment).

 

I specialize in treating adolescents and adults with a variety of issues, which include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, self-injurious behavior, and trauma.
 
I particularly enjoy working with young adults struggling to deal with the pressures of college life as well as relationship issues and post-college adjustment.  I will work with you to help identify your goals and resolve any issues that may be preventing you from reaching your potential.

Evaluations & Testing

I have expertise performing evaluations to better understand each child’s or adolescent’s specific learning strengths and weaknesses and to help determine appropriate school placement, including Gifted and Talented program placement, psychoeducational testing and neuropsychological testing
 
I also have extensive experience evaluating children and adolescents in a forensic setting.
